Irene Holbrooks

HOLBROOKS, Irene - age 82, of Fenton, died Friday, June 15, 2007 at her residence. Services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St. Linden. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Sunday and 2-4 & 6-9 PM Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Irene was born July 18, 1924 in Franklin, NC, the daughter of William A. and Nannie Jane (Fox)Keener. She married Woodrow W. Wall in 1940, which ended in divorce. In 1951, she married Jesse James Holbrooks and he preceded her in death in 1993. Surviving are: 13 children, Mae (Archie) Morton of Grand Blanc, Linda(Allan) Pratt of Fenton, Billy (Cindy) Wall of Flushing, Brenda (Thomas)McMullen of Columbiaville, Tony (Vicky) Wall of Montrose, Elane (Crist) Webb of Grand Blanc, Vickie Feldhahn of Fenton, Ricky (Ora) Holbrook of Millington, David Holbrook, James Edward (Carol) Holbrook of Flint Twp.,Jimmie (Tammy) Holbrook of Holly, Roger (Marlynne) Holbrooks of Grand Blanc; Bobby (Marie) Holbrooks of Swartz Creek; 25 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Waters, Marie (Richard) Crawford; brother, James (Margie) Keener, all of NC. She was also preceded in death by: her parents, sons, Johnny Holbrook, Frankie Holbrook and Jerry Wall; brother, William Keener.
