EVERETT, Ivy Young - age 87 of Palmetto, FL, died Thursday, July 23, 2015. Funeral services including an Eastern Star memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, August 22 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden. Interment will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Ivy was born March 21, 1928 in Flint the daughter of Harold and Florence Barnes. She lived most of her life in the Linden-Gaines-Durand areas before moving to Palmetto, FL. She retired after 30 years from Hamady Brothers Food Stores. Ivy is survived by her husband, Leroy; sons, Dennis and wife, Dawn Young, Robert and wife Leigh Young; son-in-law, Richard Hollenbeck; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Vera Carney; many nieces and nephews. Ivy was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawny Dale Young; daughter, Linda Hollenbeck; her parents; brothers, John, Ernie and Bert Barnes; sisters, Eveline Woodhall and Florence Curtin.
