Jack STRALEY

Straley, Jack C. - Of Fenton, age 92, died Thursday, April 3, 2014 at his home. In honor of his request, public services will not be held and cremation has taken place. Mr. Straley was born August 25, 1921 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Beulah (Conklin) and Harry Straley. He was proud to have enlisted in the Armed Services in 1942 serving in the U.S. Army until he was honorably discharged as a 2nd Lieutenant in 1946. Mr. Straley was a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University Law School. He met and married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann Miller August 25, 1949, while a student at U of M. After graduation he worked for State Farm Insurance, the Department of Veteran's Affairs, and as a trust officer at Citizen's and Genesee Banks. His interests included, first and foremost U of M and other college football, about which he was an avid fan. He also enjoyed hunting, moreling, gardening, yardwork and birdwatching. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 57 years, Elizabeth, and a number of cousins. He is survived by daughter, Susan; son, Craig; daughter-in-law, Nicolette; and grandchildren, Elizabeth and Eric.
