HEAVENER, Jacqueline Gray, fondly known as Chick by family and friends - age 80, of Flint, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Avalon Hospice. Services will be held 11 AM Monday, February 20, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Pastor Jim Reid officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association. Mrs. Heavener was born March 27, 1931 in Leaksville, North Carolina, the daughter of Ramey and Pearl (Sloan) Murphy. She was a member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church and was a merchant at the Farmer's Market, Jackie's Produce. She was a breast cancer survivor. She enjoyed her family and friends, gardening and reading. Surviving are: 5 children, Sharon (Claude) Stutts of Swartz Creek, Randy Cockram of Flint, Steve (Lara) Cockram of Flushing, Debbie (Manuel) Mar of Otisville, Toni (Luis) Mar of Flushing; 12 grandchildren, Ted, Jeffery, Nathan, Stacey, Lori, Valerie, Stephanie, Cordero, Paige, Chelsea, Ashlea, and Morgan; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Alexis, Caleb, Julia, Leah, Olivia, Laila, Gavin Gray, Dylan, Sullivan, Thomas, Dominiq and one on the way. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Thomas Heavener on March 14, 1998; parents; siblings, Esther, Mildred, Jay, Don and wife, Dolly.
