BARNETT, James Mattison - Age 85, of Grand Blanc, died July 31, 2015. Services will be held 1 PM Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Wounded Warrior Project or Reverence Hospice. James was born March 13, 1930 in Naylor, MO, the son of William Jess and Margaret Elizabeth (Robb) Barnett. He was a graduate of GMI. He married Joyce Ann Gilmore on August 12, 1960 in Flint; she preceded him in death on August 6, 2011. James was employed by General Motors in skilled trades for 22 years, then as an Engineer with Castro Oil retiring in 1997. James is survived by his daughter, Robin and husband Frank Blake of Fenton; sister, Gwendolyn Doolan of Rockford, IL; nieces and nephews, William Barnett, Barry Barnett, Pam Christian, Matt and wife Susan Woodbury; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lynn and David Satterwhite. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Barnett; sister, Carrie Cudney; nephew, Mark Woodbury; niece, Roberta Edgar.
