CLIFFORD, James- age 84 of Gladwin, formerly of Flint, went to be with his Lord, Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the Gladwin Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Clifford was born in Kilbernie, Scotland on September 14, 1922 the son of David and Sarah (Graham) Clifford. Â He had lived in the Flint area for 57 years and in Gladwin since 1980. He graduated from Flint Northern High School and later attended GMI in the apprenticeship program of die making. He and Laura Clark were married in Flint on August 28, 1942 and she preceded him in death January 25, 2004. Â Mr. Clifford was a die maker at Buick Motor Division for 40 years, retiring in 1980. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force serving in WWII. Surviving are three daughters; Patricia A. (Robert) Blum of Goodrich, Nancy L. (Phillip) Lamb of Gladwin and Deborah L. (Robert) Rowe of Flint. Â Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; Â brother, David (Jean) Clifford, Jr. of Reed City; brother-in-law, Charles Rushlow of Burton. Â He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, May Rushlow. Â Funeral services will be 12:30 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Â Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
