Jan Whalls

WHALLS, Jan - Age 80, of Linden, died August 9, 2015. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Visitation will be held from 12 PM until the time of service. Jan was born November 18, 1934 in Monroe, Michigan. She is the daughter of Gerald and Irene (Gibbons) Buyea. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jan enjoyed spending time at the Loose Senior Center with friends and playing Euchre. She was a lifelong dedicated Tigers fan. She loved living on the lake where she had resided for more than 40 years. Surviving are: daughters, Cyndi (Steve) Hernandez of Ann Arbor, Kelly (James) Bonnette of Nashville, Julie Whalls of Ann Arbor and Dana Whalls of Ann Arbor; grandchildren, Joshua Hieftje, Taylor (Anton) Suarez, Max Hernandez, Georgie Bonnette, Brie Bonnette, Clayton Bonnette, Dustin Kurtz (Meaghan O'Connell), Cory Kurtz, Piper Kurtz and Kael Hooten; great-grandchildren, Sinsere, Adian, Oliver, Stella and Henry; sister-in-law, Jackie Buyea. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Buyea and granddaughter, Sandra McMahon. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Loose Center, 707 N. Bridge St., Linden.
