Jean Leasley

LEASLEY, Jean- Age 90, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, March 14, 2008 at Genesys Health Park.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.  Burial immediately following at Fairview Cemetery, Linden.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until time of service Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society.  Jean was born April 18, 1917 in Alpena, the daughter of Richard and Johanna (Rasky) Leasley.  She retired in 1975 from GM Fisher Body after 40 years of service.  She also with her sister, Leanore R. Leasley owned and operated Grandwood Acres Horse Farm, where they boarded horses and gave riding lessons.  She was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, Flint and the Michigan Horse Show Association.  Surviving are:  cousins, Morrell Douglas and wife Jean Leasley of Flushing, Diane and husband Roger Powell of Flushing.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Leanore Leasley.  Online condolences and tributes may be posted on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
