THOMPSON, Joanne - Age 81, of Linden, died March 6, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, March 10, 2014 at Swartz Creek Church of the Nazarene, 7154 S. Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Lawrence Gill will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Those desiring may make contributions to the Swartz Creek Church of the Nazarene Food Bank. Joanne was born March 26, 1932 in Erie, PA, the daughter of Amos and Elsie (Bender) Woodell. She was married to Willard Thompson on February 12, 1955 in Bellflower, CA; he preceded her in death on March 31, 2011. Surviving are: three sons, James W. (Deborah Kay) Thompson, Richard P. (Annette Margaret) Thompson, Ronald D. (Patty Sue) Thompson; seven grandchildren, Timothy, Sarah, Melissa, Michelle, Zachary, Stephanie and Michael; four great-grandchildren, Julia, Caitlin, Kellen and Jade; brother, Arthur (Neola) Woodell; sister, Betty White.
