PEREZ, John- Age 81, of Mt. Morris, died Monday, July 28, 2008 at Crestmont Healthcare. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, G 2316 W. Coldwater Road, Flint. Rev. Timothy A. Nelson celebrant. Burial immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint from 2-8 PM Wednesday and at church from 10 AM until time of service Thursday. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home 7 PM Wednesday. John was born July 4, 1927 in McAllister, OK, the son of Tony and Lola (Moreno) Perez. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy. He retired from GM Fisher Body Turnstead after 30 years of service. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local 326. Surviving are: son-in-law, Alex Peterman of Burton; granddaughter, Mary Peterman; 2 sisters, Teresa and husband Ernie Perez of Flint and Angeline Silva of Flint; brother, Mike Perez of Mt. Pleasant; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leona; daughter, Terry Peterman; grandson, John Peterman; 2 brothers, Joe and George Perez.
