Josephine Hibbard

HIBBARD, Josephine M. - age 97, of Linden, died Friday, March 30, 2007 at Rockwell Assisted Living. A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 4 at St. Jude's Episcopal Church, 106 E. Elizabeth St., Fenton with Fr. Joshua Hoover officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Avalon Hospice or a church of choice. Mrs. Hibbard was born March 19, 1910 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of Johnand Angela (Pietrunski) Makowski.  She married Arthur Hibbard in Flint December 30, 1939 and he preceded her in death February 2, 1999. Mrs. Hibbard had been a member of Universal & Triumphant Church Worldwide since 1958. Surviving are: daughter-in-law, Constance Hibbard of Linden; 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Gerald, John and Cynthia; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Angela Makowski; granddaughter, Julie; husband, Arthur; brothers, Carl and John Makowski; sister, Hettie; and son, Theodore.
