Larry MOODY

MOODY, Larry Floyd - age 69, of Gaines, died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at McLaren - Flint. Services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Evergeen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 3-5 and 6-9 PM Monday and 12 PM until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County. Mr. Moody was born May 26, 1944 in Bragg City, MO, the son of Connie Floyd and Ada Rachel (Millner) Moody. He married Judith Thorpe on November 22, 1963. Mr. Moody retired as a Millwright from General Motors in 2006. He was a lover of guitars and music, enjoyed painting cars and was an amateur videographer recording many concerts of his sons' band. Surviving are: wife of 50 years, Judith; six children, Rayann Moody (Amanda Pruitt) of Burton, Lyn-Marie Richards of Swartz Creek, Lori (Stephen) Church of Dickson , TN, Denise (Scott) Endicott of Howell, Larry Floyd (Laura) Moody II of North Branch, Tim (Rufina) Moody of Flint; 12 grandchildren, Jimmy (Devin), Lanie (Spencer), CeCi, Zach, Brittany, Ricky, Courtney, Sammy, Robert, Ralph, Raquel, and Phoebe; great-granddaughter, RyleeAnne; two sisters, Connie (Ed) Wyatt and Patricia Lackey; many nieces and nephews.
