Larry Pomeroy

POMEROY, Larry Walter -- Age 66, of Vero Beach, FL, and Durand, died September 11, 2011 at Memorial Health Care in Owosso. Private services will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to an organization of choice to benefit cancer research. Larry was born December 17, 1944 in Detroit the son of Walter and Verne (Koshar) Pomeroy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from GM in 1994 with 30 years of service working as a machine operator. He married Brenda Lynn Marchbanks November 17, 1979 in Flint, she was his soulmate and the love of his life. He loved spending time with his family, and friends in Michigan and Florida, and made many new friends playing Texas Hold 'Em. Surviving are: wife Brenda; four children, Larry Jr. and wife Amy Pomeroy of Davison, Lisa and husband Mike Eads of Davison, David and wife Debbie Baldwin of Jacksonville, FL, Wendy and husband Scott Thompson of Flint Township; seven grandchildren, Macy, Mitchel, Mclain, Travis, Jackson, Marcus, Kevin; sister Barbara and husband Jeff Urynowicz of Ft. Collins CO; nephew Dr. Michael and wife Margaret Urynowicz; two nieces Kristi and husband Rich Boddy, Laura Urynowicz Schultz and husband Norm Schultz, all of Colorado; special aunt Doreen Taylor of Davison; several more close relatives and friends.
