Leo LANGFORD

LANGFORD, Leo L. - Age 82, of Fenton, died May 11, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Entombment will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesys Hospice. Leo was born June 16, 1930 in Flint, the son of James H. and Alta (Shumacher) Langford and was a 1948 graduate of Kearsley High School. He was married to Isabel (Novak) Hervoly on September 26, 1953; she preceded him in death on May 27, 1997. He was then married to Fidela "Sally" Zaballa on November 10, 2006 in Manila, Philippines. Mr. Langford was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1950-1954 and was a 1957 graduate of GMI. He retired from General Motors (Milford Proving Grounds) in 1987 after 39 years of service. Mr. Langford also served as a Fenton City Councilman. Surviving are: wife, Sally; children, Laura (John) Huston, Michael (Garland LaForest) Langford, Randy (Iryn) Langford, David (Patricia Kellogg) Langford, Lisa (Thomas) Dollner, James (Marie) Langford; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Langford. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Genesys Hospital and Mary Smith.
