BUNCH, Leona J., age 91, of El Paso, IL, formerly of Flint, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 in El Paso. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Pastor Harold E. Constant officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Heritage Manor Care Center, 555 E. Clay St., El Paso, IL. 61738. Leona was born November 11, 1919 in Flint the daughter of the late Percival and Anna (Nelson) Brookins. She married Merle L. Bunch on August 31, 1940 and he preceded her in death on October 27, 2006. She was employed by Emmanuel Baptist Church as a secretary for 30 years until her retirement in 1985. In addition she was a Sunday School Teacher, DVBS Worker and member of the Ladies Missionary Society. Surviving are her daughter, Margaret and husband, Earl Dewley of Illinois; 3 grandchildren, Karla and husband, Carl Little of Illinois, Kurt Dewley of Flint, Karl and wife, Jennifer Dewley of Burton; 6 great-grandchildren; Nathan and Nicole Little, Kendall and Emma Dewley, Lauryn and Brianna Pruett.
