Leona Brainard

BRAINARD, Leona M. , age 91 of Harrison, MI, formerly of Flint, died Sunday, January 27, 2008 at the Gladwin Nursing and Rehabilitaion Center in Gladwin.  Mrs. Brainard was born in Flint on January 29, 1916 the daughter of Daniel and Matilda (Loisel) Albrant.  She was a longtime resident of the Flint area and had been married to Herbert Brainard for many years. He preceded her in death.  Mrs. Brainard was a homemaker and a  devoted mother and grandmother.  Surviving are her 5 children: Marilyn McDill, Clyde Brainard and wife Ilene, Clarence Brainard and wife Ruth Ann, Duane Brainard and Jennie Gridley and and husband Paul. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 56 Great-great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 1, 2008 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Her son, Clyde Brainard will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 8 P.M.Thursday.
