Lillian MOORE

MOORE, Lillian B. (Walker) - age 95, of Angola, IN, formerly of Linden, went to be with her Lord December 7, 2010 in Angola, IN. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Linden Free Methodist Church, 13274 Linden Rd., Linden. Pastor Bill Moull will officiate. Burial will be at the Ridge Road Cemetery, Oakley. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden and from 10 AM until the time of service Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Linden Free Methodist Church. Lillian was born September 27, 1915 in Brady Twp., west of Chesaning, MI. She and Ivan Moore were married in 1938 in Linden, where she lived until 2008 when she became a resident at Lakeland Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Angola, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Sarah Walker; brothers, Francis and Stuart and her husband, Ivan passed away in 2001. She is survived by sister, Helen Grass of Mt. Pleasant, MI; children, Frances (Don) Snyder of Flushing, MI, Larry (Sue) Moore of Kasilov, Alaska, Derald (Mary) Moore of Angola, IN. Lillian has six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a beloved homemaker. Her Linden Free Methodist Church involvement included that of organist and soloist for many years. Other accomplishments include, piecing quilt tops and quilting, a perfectionist seamstress, a teacher of piano. She was an avid reader, a pastime she dearly loved right up to her last day on earth. Events giving her great joy were extended family reunions and getting together with family on the holidays. She had stated her epitaph should read "I did my best to glorify God".
