Lola Vanlinden

VanLinden Lola B. -Age 76, of Flint, died Monday, July 11, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Lola was born June 2, 1940 in Flint the daughter of Thurman and Etta (Cook) Brooks. She married Ronald E. VanLinden in Flint on January 12, 1963. Lola graduated from Utley High School in 1958. She dedicated her life to raising her children and taking care of her family. Lola loved children and kids of all ages, some even refer to her as a second mom. When her granddaughter was born that put the sparkle back in her eyes. She also liked to take up north trips to the casino. Per her wishes a private viewing was held and cremation has taken place, she is now pain free and at peace. Lola is survived by her husband Ronald; daughter, Barbara VanLinden; grand daughter, Emily Rose; brother, Gerald Brooks; sister, Joetta White; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Lola was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronnie A. VanLinden; brother Denford Brooks; and brother in law Buddy White.
