Margaret Elkins

ELKINS, Margaret - Age 92, of Fenton, died Sunday, July 28, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 1, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Mr. Duane Estep officiating. Burial immediately following at Rose Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Wednesday, 1-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to Avalon Hospice. Mrs. Elkins was born February 16, 1916 in Booneville, KY, the daughter of Green Berry and Laura Jane (Barrett) Bowman. She had resided in Fenton since 1949 coming from Milford. Mrs. Elkins married Robert G. Elkins May 24, 1933 in Kentucky and he preceded her in death November 22, 1983. She had worked for Hammond Rest Home in Fenton for 10 years as a nurse's aide. Surviving are: 2 children, Christine and husband Wayne Estep of Fenton, Donald Elkins of Three Forks, MT; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; Best friend and neighbor, June Halbritter of Fenton; many nieces, nephews and friends.
