Margery BANKS

Margery (Bennett) Banks, age 97, of Grand Blanc, Michigan and formerly of Yorkshire, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 7:25 AM at Gentiva Hospice in Flint, Michigan. She was born on July 14, 1916 in Mercer County, Ohio, to the late Vermont H. & Laura V. (Monroe) Bennett. She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, John & Linda Banks of Fenton, MI and Fred & Janet Banks of Versailles; grandchildren, Eric (Lois Wilson) Banks, Joyce (Fred Gilmore) Banks, Kimberly (Steve) Wilcox and Kevin (Mia) Banks; great grandchildren, Leah, Elisa, Joshua Wilcox, Sullivan & Everett Gilmore and Samuel Banks; sister, Helen Stemm of Springfield, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Banks; sisters, Ruth Birt and Lucile Birt Pattison and brothers, Glenn & Dwight Bennett. Margery was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Willowdell. She was a housewife as well as worked at the Post Office in Yorkshire. There will be a service held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 9464 Foote Rd., (Willowdell) Yorkshire, Ohio, with Pastor Laura Shreffler officiating. Burial will follow in the Willowdell Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 5-8 PM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio, as well as from 10:00-10:30 at church on Friday.
