THORNE, Marie M. - Age 78, of Winchester, TN, formerly of Linden, died Tuesday February 17, 2009. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, February 23, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Saturday, 2-5 & 6-8 PM Sunday. Marie was born November 14, 1930 in Minden City, the daughter of Anthony and Catherine (Chase) Michalski. She was married to Richard G. Thorne in 1956. Mrs. Thorne had lived in Franklin since 1989 coming from Michigan. Surviving are: husband, Richard; daughters, Cynthia Warda and husband Stephen of St. Johns, Deborah Anderson and husband John of Swartz Creek; grandson, Nicholas; sister, Theresa. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jennifer Eileen Thorne; brothers, Casimer, Joseph and Eugene; sister, Mary.
