LANCASTER, Marlyn Joyce - Age 75, of Flint, died Saturday, June 16, 2012. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of service. Contributions may be made to the Marlyn J. Lancaster Memorial Fund, c/o Sharp Funeral Home. Marlyn was born August 13, 1936 in Flint the daughter of Arnold F. and Arvella M. (Herrington) Odell. She had worked as a model in New York City under the name of Carol Parks, and also worked as a dancer and model from Detroit to New York City under the name of Shauna the Story Book Princess. She attended school at St. Michael Catholic School in Flint. Marlyn had planned to re-marry William "Bill" G. Woodcock, Sheila's father, but he passed away. Surviving are: daughter, Sheila Marie Lopez; 3 granddaughters, Madalyn Joyce Hoover, Shannon Marie Messer and Deidre Gail (Matthew) Cotterman; 8 great grandchildren. Also her Precious cat Alice. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nanette Carroll and son-in-law, Gilbert G. Lopez. A special Thank You to the CCU staff at Hurley Medical Center.
