Mary Callahan

CALLAHAN, Mary, age 92, of Linden, passed away Friday, December 26, 2008 at home. Funeral services will be 1PM Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Rev. Don Neuville officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8PM Monday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Linden Presbyterian Church. Mary was born November 30, 1916 in Flint the son of the late Rade Sarac and Helen (Voynovich) Kantar. She married Clinton F. Callahan on December 28, 1946 in Flint and he preceded her in death on March 22, 1998. Mary was a 1935 graduate of Flint Northern High School and a member of Linden Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her 2 children, Thomas Callahan (Esther) of Linden, Mary Ann Roe (Colin)of Swartz Creek; 3 grandchildren, Thomas and Trevor Callahan of Linden, Shana Kraemer of Flint; 1 brother, Nick Kantar of California; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Timothy Callahan; brother, Mike Kantar and step-daughter, Jacqueline Kraemer.
