Mary A. FLYNN

FLYNN, M. Anita, - age 82, of Swartz Creek, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Avalon Hospice. Services will be held 11AM on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, Swartz Creek, Father Jeff Poll officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, August 16, 2012, from 3PM-8PM with a rosary service at 7PM. Visitation will also be from 10AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Anita was born in Richmond, Virginia on November 9, 1929 to Frank and Margaret Bernardini. She married Frank Flynn on June 20, 1953. Anita and her husband were members of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Durand. She was very competitive in lawn bowling, enjoyed golfing, crafts, and traveling to Arizona. Anita is survived by her husband Frank of 59 years, son; Steven Flynn and Tim Kraus of L.A., California, daughters; Linda Coyle of New River, Arizona, and Patricia (Craig) Alexander of Swartz Creek, three grandchildren; Shelby (Michael) Myers of Flushing, Jeffrey Alexander of Swartz Creek, and Sean Coyle of San Francisco, California; one great-grandchild, Aerieana Hathaway, and her sister Theresa (Ed) Migert of Richmond, Virginia. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Theresa Ann Flynn, five brothers, and three sisters. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Avalon Hospice.
