DUNN, Mildred S. - age 101, of Flint, died Friday, April 6, 2007 at Genesys Convalescent Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 14 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Rev. Grant Wessel officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Flint Deacon's Projects, Hazel E. Reed Extension Professorship in Family Policy (College of Human Ecology at Cornell University), or New York State 4-H Foundation (at Cornell University). Ms. Dunn was born October 6, 1905 in Rosebush, MI, the daughter of John A. and Mary E. (Funnell) Dunn. She was a graduate of Lansing Central, Michigan State University and received a Master Degree from Columbia University. Ms. Dunn retired from Cornell University in 1970 as a professor in the College of Human Ecology after 22 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Flint and the Flint Institute of Arts. Surviving are: nephews, John Dunn of Kalamazoo, Ralph Pyles of Burton, Robert McNutt of AZ, James McNutt of Midland, Daniel Fulcher of FL; nieces, Alice Searcy of FL, Barbara Denney of FL, Hazel Paquette of Burton; two great-nephews, Ronald Dieck of Lennon, Dr. Robert McNutt of Chicago; two great-nieces, Paula Bottenelli of Grand Blanc; Cathy Dieck of FL; several other great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by: four sisters, Ethel Pyles, Idella McNutt, Olga Fulcher, Mabel Pyles; brother, Percy Dunn.
