Nile Metcalf

METCALF, Nile Ray - Age 71, of Fenton, died Friday, May 16, 2008 at his residence. Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Nile Ray Metcalf Memorial Fund to be used for ministries. Nile was born November 26, 1936 in Clare, MI, the son of Clifford and Beth (Murray) Metcalf and was a graduate of Marion High School. Mr. Metcalf retired from construction work. He married Roma Swiger on August 21, 1982 in Big Rapids. Surviving are: wife, Roma; three children, Nila (Arthur) McKendry of Union Grove, WI, Pride (Melodie) Metcalf of Los Angeles, CA, Dirk (Patricia) Metcalf of Salem, OR; granddaughters, Kendra and Kylie Metcalf, Kaziah and Jessica McKendry; great-grandson, Aiden Maddaloni; brother, Clifford (Sharon) Metcalf of Mecosta, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Arthea Metcalf; sister, Nana Kilpatrick; brother, Thomas Metcalf; grandson, Adam Metcalf.
