JURK, Norma Jean - Age 73, of Flint, died Monday, October 24, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday, October 28 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 8497 W. Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Joyce Johnston officiating. Burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will held 3PM-8PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to Messiah Lutheran Church. Norma was born July 28, 1943 in Flint the daughter of Marvin M. and Edna G (Grams) Gushen. She married Fritz Jurk on January 14, 1995 in Flint he preceded her in death on March 18, 2000. She was a member and treasurer of the Women's Group at Messiah Lutheran Church of Swartz Creek. She was employed at Flint Service Federal Credit Union retiring in 2006 with 22 years of service. She is survived by her children, Tamara Anderson of Flint, Steven Pfeifer of Michigan, Barbara (James) Mott of Flint, Patricia Macklem of Gaylord; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Morris (Marilyn) Traverse City; nieces, Cyndi and Theresa.
