Olga Elasivich

ELASIVICH, Olga (Polonic-Miculka) -- Age 87, of Lennon, died August 4, 2011 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, August 8 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, Fr. Dan Kogut celebrant. Interment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Saturday, 1-3 and 5-9 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, with a 7 PM Vigil service Sunday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Arthritis Foundation, American Cancer Society, or American Heart Association. Olga was born April 20, 1924 in Flint the daughter of Nick and Helen (Zarichny) Polonic. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School. She attended St. Nicholas Orthodox Church and Sacred Heart Church. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society and the "Over 50." She was a member of Buick Retirees Local 599, a past member of East Side Seniors and Carman Ainsworth Seniors. She was a charter member of WWII Memorial. She worked at Marvel Carberator and Buick Cafeteria. She married Frank Miculka Jr. in 1946; he preceded her in death in 1967. She then married Mike Elasivich in 1977; he preceded her in death in 1990. Surviving are: three children Millie Kuptz of Swartz Creek, Pat Miculka of Belleville, Nick Miculka and wife Lois of Burton; three grandchildren Tom Kuptz, Joe Kuptz and wife Kim, Rachel Miculka; three great-grandchildren, Jakob, Katie, and Lillie Kuptz; loving sister Anne Smith; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Mary; uncle Lazar and aunt Sarah Polonic. Special thanks to her angel niece Helen Phillips.
