DUNN, Percy J. - Age 87, of Fenton, died Saturday,November 08,2008 at his residence. A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home,Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until time of service Wednesday. Percy was born February 8,1921 in St. Charles, the son of Percy Sr. and Minnie(Hodges) Dunn.He married Winona McCash in 1942 and she proceded him in death in 1997, he then married Pearl Crosby Smith in 2007. He retired from the Detroit Public Schools after 10 years of service and had been self employed for many years prior to that. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp and was a recipient of the Soldiers Metal of Valor. Surviving are: wife, Pearl;3 children, Carol(Charles) Banks, Michael(Hudy)Dunn, Penny (John) Finley; 5 step children, Terry Crosby, Linnet (Roger) Conn, Susan (Mike) Bronson, Barbara (Bob) VanGordon, Julie (Dan) Brsnnon; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Marty) Bastin; many nieces and nephews.
