Phyllis Blake

BLAKE, Phyllis E. - age 88, formerly of Mt. Morris, died Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Oliver Woods Assisted Living in Owosso. A committal service will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. Phyllis was born November 29, 1925 in Mt. Morris, the daughter of William and Edna (Grieb) Sweet. Phyllis married Robert Blake on May 24, 1946 preceding her in death on June 19, 2009. Phyllis retired from Mott Community College. Surviving are: two children, Patricia (Duane) Wittum of Durand, Michael (Cindy) Blake of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Tricia Oakes, Bobby Wittum, Lisa Humphrey, Susanna Zembo, Tony Blake and Randi Cherwinski; 11 great-grandchildren, Monica, Christian, Hunter, Amanda, Michael, Carson, Conner, Leah, Kealie, Griffin and Alaina; three siblings Doris (Les) George of Ann Arbor, Ruth (Wayne) Schoeppach of Flint Twp. and Gene (Shirley) Sweet of Flushing; special friend, Pat Noffsinger.
