Rachael MANN

MANN, Rachael Ruth, age 91 of Flint, died peacefully Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Hyde Park. She was born on May 17, 1918 in Siler City, NC the daughter of John and Elizabeth Dunlap. She married John C. Mann and together they moved to Flint in 1946. Mrs. Mann was retired from the A.C. Spark Plug Division where she worked for many years. She was a long time member of the Central Church of the Nazarene. She loved her family, friends and her church, but most of all, The Lord. Surviving are her four children: Jane Shortt (David) of LaJolla, CA, Frances Carpenter of Flint, Fred G. Mann (Cheryl) of Waterville, OH and John A. Mann (Sharon) of Glenview, IL. She has 10 wonderful grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mann was preceded in death by her husband in 1992 and a son, Donald (Jeff) Mann in 2007 Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. Rev. Glen Gardner officiating. Cremation will follow the service with interment of cremated remains later at Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 P.M.
