Rita Thompson

Thompson, Rita V., age 90, of Vernon, passed away Friday, December 5, 2008. A memorial service will be held 3 PM Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Judes Children Research Hospital. Rita was born in New Lothrop, the daughter of Ray and Viola (Dann) Vernon. She had attended Calvary Christian Church and had retired from General Motors, where she had been a secretary. Survivors include; sons, Raymond (Denise) of Colorado, Donald (Janine) of Nashville MI, granddaughters; Amy, Crystal, and Jatana,grandsons; Samuel, Nickolas,Zachary, and Josh, 6 great grandchildren, brother; Allan Vernon.
