KOSTELIC, Robert Edward - age 65, of Linden, died Saturday, July 27, 2007 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at Fenton United Methodist Church with Pastor David Mulder officiating. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 12-4 and 5-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Fenton United Methodist Church Family Life Center Building Fund. Robert was born June 5, 1942 in Virginia, MN, the son of Frank Alex and Rose Mary (Zganjar) Kostelic. He married Sharon Katherine Phillips on May 4, 1963. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Sea Bees serving in Vietnam. He was employed by General Motors as an electrician and worked his way to an Engineer before retiring in 1998. Robert enjoyed golf, fishing, spending winters in Lakeland, Florida with his wife, and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Robert was a family man who will be missed by: wife, Sharon of Linden; three daughters, Cindy and husband, Paul Larkin of Clarkston, Christine and John Thibault of West Branch, Kim and husband, Tom Dieck of Fenton; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Bethany, Karlie, Kellie, Tommy, Adam and Ryan; sister, Jeanne and husband, Roger Hammitt of Davison; sister-in-law, Joan and husband, Joe Strlekar of MN; many nieces; nephews and friends. Robert was preceded in death by: his parents and brother, Richard Kostelic. The family extends a thank you to the doctors and staff of Genesys Health Park.
