Roberta Markillie

MARKILLIE, Roberta- Age 82, of Swartz Creek, died January 6, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday January 11, at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will take place 4-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association. Roberta was born June 7, 1934 in Salida, CO, the daughter of Henry and Buena (Foulk) Jones. She married Frederick Markillie on September 8, 1957 in Belleville. He preceded her in death on August 5, 2004. Roberta was a registered nurse at Flint Ostephatic Hospital retiring in 1989. She is survived by her children, Karen (John) Peters, Duane Markillie, Fred (Melissa) Markillie Jr., Lori (Garrett) Hess, Keith Markillie, Shellie (Ronald) Shears; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
