Romey Goins

GOINS, Romey - Age 68, of Linden, died Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, May 2 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden. Pastor Jimmy Hibbard officiating. Visitation will be held 3 - 9 PM Sunday and 12 PM until the time of service Monday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Romey Goins Memorial Fund c/o Sharp Funeral Homes. Romey was born April 2, 1948 in Manchester, Kentucky, the son of Henry and Edith (Lee) Goins. He married Margaret "Colleen" Diggs on May 29, 1966 in Machester, KY and she preceded him in death on November 15, 2008. He was a truck driver at Anchor Motor Freight for 22 years. He was a former police officer in Linden and Argentine. Romey is survived by his children, Becky (Brian) Harrison of Flint, Jennifer (Timothy) Goodman of Flint; two grandchildren, Wade Goins of Linden, Amanda Hinz of Linden; great-granddaughter, Skylar "Peanut" Corbett; mother, Edith Goins of Linden.
