Ruth York

York, Ruth May, age 85, of Swartz Creek, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 23, 2008. Funeral services will be 3PM Sunday, December 28, 2008 from Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday and 12-4 and 6-8 PM Saturday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family or the Christian Apostolic Church of which she was a member. Ruth was born in Muskegon the daughter of Eugene and Elnora (Roe) Foltz. She loved crocheting and cooking. Surviving her are, a cousin Grace Evelyn York, children, Elnora (Michael) Vallet of Mt. Morris, Helen York of Swartz Creek, Ruby (David) Carroll of Inkster, Eugene F. (Mary) York of Swartz Creek, grandchildren Paul, Matthew, Patrick, and Daniel, great grandchildren Gavin, Kaylee, Leona and soon to be Khloe. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Frank Paul York in 2006, her parents and sister Ruby Potter.
