REID, Shirley. -- Age 63, of Flint, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 26, 2011. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Fenton Road Baptist Church, G4386 Fenton Road, Flint, Pastor Michael Stallard officiating. Funeral arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Mrs. Reid was born April 20, 1948 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Richard and Florence Hankin. Shirley was a registered Nurse and had worked at several nursing homes serving the elderly. Surviving are her son Gary (Shanna) Reid, daughters, Sherie (Charlie) Lester, Julie Reid; grandchildren, Jack Flowers, Destiny Reid, Andrea Reid, Rachael Reid; sisters Suzanne Johnson, Sandra Hankin; many nieces and nephews. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we love or die, we are the Lord's.
