Stewart Alley

ALLEY, Stewart Lee - age 71, of Flint, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Monday, August 25, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Fr. Gary McInnis officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery in Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday. Mr. Alley was born August 21, 1936 in Tazewell, VA, the son of Robert Lee and Pauline (Dotson) Alley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 101st Airborne. Mr. Alley married Janet Marie Mienkwic on August 9, 1974. He was a meat cutter for several stores in the area and took great pride in his trade. Mr. Alley enjoyed the outdoors but mostly he enjoyed his grandchildren. Surviving are: wife, Janet; five daughters, Susan (David) Pecyna and children, Sam, Anna and Brian, Trish Hyde (Brian McLaughlin) and children, Anthony, Shaun and April, Laura Murray (Dan Delong) and daughter, Cassie, Jennifer (Paul) Kotwicki and daughter, Isadora, Melinda Alley (Jay Anderson) and children, Aniesa, Brittany, Caleb, Logan, and Anthony; great-granddaughter, McKenna; brother, Donald Alley of MD; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents and two brothers, Robert and Jimmy Alley.
