BARKER, Thomas, age 83, of Flint, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral Services will be 12PM Monday, September 15, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Interment will follow in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be 4-7PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Kindred Spirits, 2320 Dodge Rd., Clio. Thomas was born December 30, 1924 in Flint the son of the late James and Jane (Berry) Barker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII in the Construction Battalion. Thomas was employed by General Motors as a press operator, retiring in 1983. Surviving are his 5 sons, Thomas Barker of Flint, Earl Barker of Grand Blanc, Lance (Janet) Barker of Grand Blanc, Gary Barker of Mt. Morris, Cal Barker of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Kelly Ray Barker; grandson, Kelly Ray Barker Jr., and 2 brothers.
