Virginia BRISTOL

BRISTOL, Virginia Jane, age 71, of Swartz Creek, passed away Saturday September 29, 2012 at home. Funeral services will be 10:00AM Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Deacon Rod Amon officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4PM and 6-8PM Monday at the funeral home. Virginia was born August 22, 1941 in Brimley, Michigan the daughter of the late James and Arnelda (Teeple) Toby. She married James J. Bristol in Flint on December 18, 1971. She was a employed by General Motors for 22 years until her retirement in 1989. Virginia was an active member of Bay Mills Indian Tribe. She was also a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. In her free time she enjoyed crafting of all kinds, especially ceramics. Surviving are her loving husband of 41 years, James of Swartz Creek; son, Russell Badder of Flint; sisters-in-law, Pat Miller of Wexford, PA, Sharon Toby of Flint, Connie Toby of Swartz Creek; pets, Little Lady and Briar. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Elden Toby "Pudders", James Toby "Man". Special thanks to the staff and volunteers of Genesys Hospice for their wonderful care.
