Wanda Spear

SPEAR, Wanda - age 86, of Fenton, died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Crestmont Health Care Facility. Services will be held 1 PM Monday, March 2, 2008 at Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church, 10235 White Lake Rd., Fenton with Pastor James H. Mascow officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Spear was born August 9, 1921 in Flint, the daughter of Joseph and Iva Leona (Patterson) Dunk. She married Leo Redmond Spear on April 6, 1938 and he preceded her in death on April 23, 1969. Mrs. Spear was a life-long resident of Fenton and had worked for Hazeltine Perkins and Bergen and Brunswick for 22 years. Surviving are: three daughters, Janet and husband, Roger Bass of SC, Susan Carrigan of Fenton, Cleo and husband, Stephen Alfredson of Otisville; daughter-in-law, Marsha Spear of Fenton; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Dolliver of Fenton; two sisters-in-law, Dean Lukes of Auburn, Delores Dunk of Fenton; brother-in-law, Norman Spear of FL; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; son, Albert Spear; grandson, Christopher Runyan; son-in-law, Bruce Carrigan; four brothers and one sister.
