Wayne Headapohl

HEADAPOHL, Wayne O. - Age 87, of Linden, died August 31, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Lucy Neall Headapohl; dear father of Mary McLean, Susan (Jerry) Carpenter, Anne (Tom) Bennett, John (Lynne) Headapohl, Sally Headapohl, Ruth (David) Hagen; loving grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother of Eileen Ging, Rex (Carol), Gary (Ginny) and the late Quentin (Sue), Bruce and Ramon; brother-in-law of Del and Shirley. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Wayne was born May 16, 1927 in Detroit, the son of Raymond and Ruth (Howell) Headapohl. After serving in the U.S. Army at the end of WWII, Wayne began his 26-year career as an electrotyper, followed by 18 years with AT&T and 22 years of retirement. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2014, 12:30 p.m., at Hope Lutheran Church, 7355 Silver Lake Rd., Linden.
