COMBS, Wesley (Frank), age 80, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, September 1, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Saturday, September 6, 2008 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek. Fr. Steven Mattson celebrant. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4-8PM Friday, September 5 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and 10AM Saturday, September 6 until time of mass at church. Frank was born on February 8, 1928 to Samuel Combs and Rhoda Dillard in Tariff, West Virginia. He attended Spencer High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a decorated Combat Sergeant. He married Verna Henrietta (Hank) Lewis on September 6, 1950 in Charleston, West Vriginia. She preceded him in death on February 8, 1982. Frank retired from the Chevrolet V8 Engine Plant in 1981 after 30 years of service. He married Delores (Siminski) Trebtoske in Swartz Creek on February 6, 1988. She preceded him in death on November 10, 2007. Frank was a loving husband, stepfather, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was a member of the Durand Eagles Club. Surviving are 5 stepchildren, Timothy (Judy) Trebtoske of Durand, Linda (Robert) Jones of Cumming, GA, Robert (Michelle) Trebtoske, Carol (Chris) Erway and Michael Trebtoske all of Swartz Creek; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 sisters, Olive, Macil and Anna as well as 20 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Elbert, Walter and William; and a sister, Burneze.
