Yolande Dauphin

DAUPHIN, Yolande Pierrette -- of Flint, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 shortly after 5 PM at McLaren Hospital in Flint. She was born on May 21, 1930 in St. Germain en Laye France. Yolande was a young World War II bride in 1946. She was preceded in death by her eldest child Bernard Timlick in 2012. Yolande leaves behind her children: Patricia (Ed) Mooney of Prudenville Michigan, Michele (Gus) Piliafas of Holland Michigan, Jeffrey Timlick of McHenry Illinois, Colette Timlick of Flint Michigan, Dan Siegel of Riverside California as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Yolande's family wants to recognize and express deep appreciation to her lifelong and dearest friends: Don Nordin, Nicole and Carlos Obregon, Jenny Rose Klassner, Cheryl and Milo Walsh, Wayne Horn and Ron Rhoads. Yolande's family appreciates the love and care she received at the Homewood Village Assisted Living Facility in Flint where she had lived since November of 2010. She made many friends there and she especially loved her friends, Joyce Mays, Agnes Reynods, Dawn Ulshafer and Jim Gillespie. Yolande was a 1977 graduate of the University of Michigan. She taught in the Flint Schools for nearly 25 years as well as at Mott Community College. She volunteered at the Red Cross for many years. A memorial service will be planned for the spring of 2015 and will be available to note in the Flint Journal. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
