Yvette Dery

DERY, Yvette E. - age 85, of Gaines, MI died Monday, June 23, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden with Bishop Craig Hayden officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Dery was born August 12, 1922 in Grand Mere, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Rosario and Marie-Anne (Marin) Castonguay. She married Ildege Dery on October 19, 1946. Surviving are: husband, Ildege of Gaines; eight children, Pierre Dery of Linden, Normand Dery of TN, Jocelyne Dery of Linden, Marjolaine (Henry) Purdy of Swartz Creek, Jean-Louis Dery, Jean-Claude Dery, both of Canada, Claudette (Ron) Holbrook of Gaines; daughter-in-law, Debbie Dery; special niece, Diane (Chuck) Dusenberry; 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Jeannine, Fernande, Gabrielle, Cammile, Jacques. She was preceded in death by: her son, Alain; siblings, Claire, Marcel, and Gilles. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
