Danny Allen Scott

March 19, 1953 ~ September 19, 2019 (age 66)

SCOTT, Danny Allen - age 66, of Byron, died at peace on Thursday, September 19, 2019, after a courageous & miraculous six month battle, surrounded by family & friends. A celebration of his life will be held from 2-5PM on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Ruggero’s located at 5311 Corunna Rd in Flint, MI 48532. For anyone running a bit behind, feel free to stop by between 3 & 5 for some food & fellowship, or share a memory in Vic’s around back from 5PM until 7PM. Dan entered this world March 19, 1953 in Pontiac, the first of five sons born to Bruce & Pauline (James) Scott. His mother said he came out talking & never stopped! A 1971 graduate of Hartland High School, he excelled in track, football, & basketball, along with various academic courses & organizations. His gift of mathematics led him to study engineering at Ferris State University. A proud Mason & retired Tool & Guage Calibration Technician, Dan was passionate about the family farm, hunting, golfing, driving, landscaping, & adding garages to every house he owned! He was an avid & organized collector, enjoying coins & models of the cars he once showed & still dreamed of. He was a fierce patriot, devoted father, dedicated son, committed brother, & loyal friend. His generous & kind heart was shown by how many people he was ready & willing to help. Whether it was struggling family members, down & out cashiers, grieving neighbors, or a couple of strangers who lost their ride home, Dan was always happy to come to the rescue. Sadly, he will be appreciated & missed more than he ever knew. He is survived by his mother, Pauline; daughter, Tricia; son, Danny; brothers, David & Sandy; grandsons, Aidan & Brody; & a long list of extended family & friends. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Bruce, & brothers, Carl “Jim” & Dale. His family asks that you would celebrate with gratitude the incredible gift of life we still have. Share some time & maybe a Coke or Vernors & a few “kisses” with your loved ones. Eating a cheeseburger with extra pickles, steak, or venison chili, with a side of peanut M&Ms & a strawberry shake, wearing denim & your favorite white “tenny grippers,” while rooting for MSU, would be the ultimate tribute. There are countless thanks, especially for the grace & peace of God, & the tremendous outpouring of support during this time. Any & all contributions have been & are greatly appreciated. They can be set up however you feel led to do so. Life tributes may be shared in his honor at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
