Hovey on April 27, 1924. A graduate of Flint Central High School and the University of Michigan, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, a devoted and active member of the Junior League of Flint and the Flint Institute of Arts, and was a member of Art Class. Mary Helen had a gift for interior decorating. She abhorred racism of any kind. She traveled widely, and especially enjoyed Italy. Generous to a fault, she most enjoyed family gatherings anywhere on Lake Michigan with her children and grandchildren and the attendant chaos. She is survived by her children Don (Jan) Pascoe of Centerville, Ohio, Laura (Phil) Olson of Grand Blanc, Bill (Luisella D'Agostini) of Milan, Italy, Amy (Roy) Fetzer of Holly; grandchildren John and Frank Pascoe, Katie (Kyle) Beardsley, Sam (Jeni) Olson, Tom and Joe Olson, Giuliano and Josephine Pascoe, Ann, D'Onte, and Sam Fetzer; great grandchildren Jonah and Stella Beardsley, Kal Morton-Lawrence, Arthur Olson; cousin Isabel (Dave) Rice. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother William G. Hovey; and two husbands, Dr. John J. Pascoe and Jay H. Taylor. Her family extends heartfelt thanks to Vicinia Gardens of Fenton for their loving care. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
