RATLIFF, Albert Jr. - Of Flint, Age 87, died December 13, 2012 at home with his family. A funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until time of service. Albert was born in Williford, Arkansas to Albert and Maudie Ratliff on April 25, 1925. He served in the U.S. Navy on Construction Battalions as a 2nd Class Ships Cook in Guam during WWII. He moved to Flint in 1946. He was a Flint city bus driver for 15 years, and then worked for GM at Fisher #1 Plant until it closed. Al married Margaret Ann Hilliker in 1955, and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his much loved family, wife, Margaret of 57 years, daughter Cheryl Taylor of Flint, and sons Stephen L. (and wife Ranee) of Davison, Randal D. (and wife Tiffany) of Flint, Craig A. (and wife Kimberly) of Flint, one sister Roberta Jones (and husband Jim) of Tennessee, as well as grandchildren who brought much joy to his life: Melissa, Eric, Jason, Alicia, Sarah, Courtney, Kyle, Camden, C.J., Riley, and Cami, along with three great grandchildren, Kurtis, Ashley, and Tayah. He was preceded in death by his brother Elmore, two sisters Laverne Tucker and Juanita Henson, and granddaughters Charity Ratliff and Amy Jo Taylor.
