Alberta J. BARRON

BARRON, Alberta Jean - Age 83, of Swartz Creek, died April 5, 2014. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, April 7, 2014 at Bristol Cemetery, Flint. Rev. Adam Doyle officiating. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery just before 3:00 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one's choice. Alberta was born March 26, 1931 in Flint, the daughter of Albert and Bertha (Steely) Whaley. She married George Barron in 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1999. She worked for the Flint Public Library, Genesee County Planning Commission and Affirmative Action. Alberta is survived by two children, Deborah (Kent) Barnes of Holly, Gregory Barron of Swartz Creek; two grandchildren, Justin (Crystal) Barnes of Holly, Robin (Nick) Brooks of Brownstown; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Scarlett and Stella Barnes; sister-in-law, Ann Clark; several nieces and nephews.
