Alfred "Al" Lee Jenson Jr., age 83, of Lennon, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Durand Senior Care and Rehab. Service will take place 2:30 PM, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Service will be live streamed and available to view on Al's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to a local food pantry.
Al was born on December 23, 1942, in Benton Harbor, Michigan the son of the late Alfred Jenson Sr. and Georgia (Brancecum) McGowen. He graduated from Pontiac Northern High School. After high school, Al enlisted into the United States Air Force proudly serving four years until his honorable discharge in 1964. He was united in marriage to Sandra Freeman on June 21, 1969, in Flint. Al was a member of the Bristol Road Church of Christ. In his free, time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, listening to country music, indulging in his favorite food and most importantly, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sandra; daughter, Susan (Robert Jr.) Long; son, John Jenson; grandson, Owen Long; brother, Ronald (Yvonne) Jenson; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Trevaskis; and brother, Thomas Anderson. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
